IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM KEITH A. MARSH IN REGARD TO THE COVID-19/CORONAVIRUS.
IATS Students and Parents,
Based on new updated information from Governor Eric Holcomb’s news conference yesterday, April 2, 2020, regarding COVID-19/Coronavirus, school buildings and campuses are CLOSED for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. Our academic online learning will continue. This is a very unfortunate situation for Indiana schools, but for our IATS students, you are in a very strong position to complete your academic courses.
Please read the following important information.
With this announcement, the following programs have been changed:
- All Active Participation Days Face-to-Face
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR APD’S: Our Agriculture teachers have put together APD VIRTUAL ACTIVITIES IN AGRICULTURE.
Every Monday you will receive an email from Amber Wolfe. Read the instructions, follow the directions, and complete a minimum of three (3) activities or more. You are to check your email every Monday morning to plan for the week.
This is a requirement for ALL STUDENTS to complete and is part of our academic program.
It takes the place of coming to our farm campus. You can do this in the comfort of your home.
If you have any questions, please email Amber Wolfe at email@example.com.
- FFA, and 4-H practices, competitions, and activities are canceled
- Farm Week is CANCELLED
ACADEMIC ONLINE COURSE WORK WILL CONTINUE!!
Students are to continue working on their academics with Edgenuity and MyCaert for agriculture classes. This situation does not impact in any way our students maintaining academic work online.
Our school year will end as originally scheduled:
- All academic classes will end on Friday, May 15, 2020, at 11:59 PM.
- FINALS will start on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at 12:01 AM and will END on Friday, May 22, 2020, at 11:59 PM.
CLASS OF 2020 – SENIORS
Academic Course Completion – We will continue to work with all of our eligible seniors to make sure that you graduate this June 2020. Patty Hagen, Director of Guidance, will be following up with all seniors on your graduation requirements. All seniors are to continue their academic work as scheduled.
At this time, our Class of 2020 Commencement Ceremony is still scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2020, at Ball State University starting at 1:00 PM. This is all dependent on Ball State’s closure status and the state’s order on social gatherings. If we need to, we will postpone the Class of 2020 graduation and determine an alternate date and time.
If you have any questions on graduation, please contact Keith Marsh at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will continue to work with our families and provide important information to you as they develop. Be safe and stay healthy.
If you have any further questions, please contact Keith A. Marsh, IATS Executive Director/Chief Academic Officer, at email@example.com.
