ABOUT Indiana Agriculture & Technology School (IATS)

IATS Logo

The Indiana Agriculture & Technology School (IATS) is a tuition‑free public charter school serving students across Indiana. While IATS has historically focused on secondary education of grades 7-12 for the past eight years, it holds authorization for primary education of grades K–6 as well.

IATS is committed to innovative, career-focused education, blending rigorous academics with hands-on learning in agriculture, technology, and environmental sciences. Its flexible learning models for grades 7-12 - including virtual, hybrid, and in-person options - allow students to gain real-world experience through labs, field projects, and industry partnerships.

With campuses across Indiana, including Evansville, Trafalgar, Rensselaer, Greencastle, and Fort Wayne, IATS honors its local legacy of excellence while providing a personalized learning environment supported by licensed educators and mentors. By combining innovation, tradition, and practical skills, the school prepares students to thrive in college, careers, and the evolving agricultural and technology sectors.

PRIMARY EDUCATION, THE IATS WAY:

For primary education (grades K–6), IATS envisions a foundation that sparks curiosity and builds essential skills early, integrating hands-on exploration in agriculture, technology, and environmental sciences. The goal is to nurture young learners’ creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, preparing them to transition smoothly into secondary education while fostering a lifelong love of learning and an early appreciation for real-world applications.
