We are proud to announce that Jodi Eveland has joined the Indiana Agriculture & Technology School (IATS) as our new Director of Special Education.
Jodi brings more than 25 years of experience as a respected leader in special education across Indiana’s public school systems. She is widely recognized for her commitment to inclusive practices, her ability to guide multi-disciplinary teams, and her deep dedication to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Jodi shares that relationships are what drives her approach to special education and leadership.
“Meaningful relationships are at the heart of student success,” she says. “I look forward to working alongside families and educators to support each student’s growth and ensure all learners have the opportunity to thrive in an inclusive and caring community.”
Throughout her career, Jodi has consistently elevated IEP compliance, coached educators to strengthen their practice, and implemented sustainable instructional frameworks that ensure long-term success for students and schools alike. She is a trusted advocate for families and a strategic leader who aligns special education services with broader school and district goals.
Most recently, Jodi served as the Exceptional Education District Supervisor at Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation in Mishawaka, Indiana. Before that, she dedicated 25 years to Plymouth Community School Corporation, where she held roles as Special Education Administrator and second grade teacher at both Webster and Menominee Elementary Schools.
She holds a Master of Education in School Administration from Indiana State University, a Master of Education from Olivet Nazarene University, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Indianapolis, where she also minored in Reading and Learning Disabilities.
