Rodeo athlete, passionate horsewomen, honors and dual-credit IATS student Reagan Webb is already gaining valuable experience in the field she hopes to pursue as a career.
Reagan is a 16-year-old junior at the IATS Hybrid Campus in Trafalgar, where the flexibility of online coursework and Active Participation Days allows her to balance academics with rodeo, horses, work, and career exploration.
Finding the Right Fit
Before attending IATS, Reagan spent seven to eight hours a day in a traditional classroom before coming home to complete additional homework. At the same time, she was caring for and riding her four horses, attending lessons, and traveling for rodeo competitions.
IATS has given Reagan the flexibility to work ahead and complete her coursework on her own schedule.
“With IATS, I can now work ahead in my classes on my own schedule and spend more time pursuing my passion with horses,” says Reagan.
That flexibility has allowed her to continue challenging herself academically while dedicating more time to the activities and career she loves.
Building a Future with Horses
Reagan has loved horses since she was three years old. Today, she hopes to become an equine veterinarian.
She is taking dual-credit courses through Ivy Tech Community College, including Equine Management and Animal Science, while also working part-time at Southern Indiana Equine, where she gains hands-on experience and learns from equine veterinary professionals.
Reagan currently maintains a 3.86 GPA while taking honors and dual-credit courses.
“My favorite part about taking dual enrollment classes is that I can learn about things that will be useful for my future,” says Reagan.
A Growing Rodeo Career
Reagan began competing in barrel racing and pole bending in fourth grade through the Southern Indiana Junior Rodeo Association. She later competed in the Indiana High School Rodeo Association and qualified for the National Junior High Finals Rodeo in both seventh and eighth grade.
Today, she competes in barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, breakaway roping, team roping, and queen contests, with pole bending being her favorite event.
Her accomplishments include:
- 2025–26 Indiana High School Rodeo Association Champion Pole Bender
- Two-time National High School Finals Rodeo qualifier
- Two-time National Junior High Finals Rodeo qualifier
- Three-time National Little Britches Finals Rodeo qualifier
- 2026–2027 Miss Indiana High School Rodeo Association Queen
In 2025, Reagan also placed sixth in the first round of pole bending at the National Little Britches Finals Rodeo in Guthrie, Oklahoma, and finished 16th in the world.

More Than Competition
Reagan is involved with the Quanta Varsity Rodeo Team, Smarty Rodeo Young Pro Team, and the 2026 Tin Haul Team. She is also continuing to learn new events, including team roping, where she competes as a heeler.
As the 2026–2027 Miss Indiana High School Rodeo Association Queen, Reagan has the opportunity to represent a sport and community she loves while encouraging younger athletes.
One of her favorite experiences has been meeting and signing autographs for younger girls at rodeos—something she remembers enjoying herself when she was their age.
Building Her Future
Reagan’s goal is to continue competing in rodeo across the country while pursuing her dream of becoming an equine veterinarian.
Her story is a great example of how flexible education can give students the opportunity to pursue their passions while continuing to build a strong academic foundation and gain real-world experience.
We are proud to spotlight Reagan Webb and all she is accomplishing both in and out of the classroom!
